The activity of blatant objectification adding undertones of a demeaning nature with the sheer purpose of belittling and tearing someone down is abuse.

In the face of my dad's mortality, I spent intentional time listening to motivational speakers who spoke on hardships and the "push through" in an effort to pull myself out of my slump. I heard this and you should hear it too:
